Activating forum accounts with no email address.

I was watching call for help about 6 months ago and they had a website where you could put that in an address and you could go to that site to activate accounts or do whatever instead of giving an email address. Anyone know what I mean?

From what I can see, they are real, but you can't do anything to them except for viewing emails you received on there. All emails that come to a certain address are viewable for everyone.
