accessing the net

ok im having sum problem with my applications accessing the net like norton updates and halflife for sum reason wont get online ive checked my internet options and there fine

Is the XP firewall enabled? Are you running a firewall? They may be getting out ok, but not able to get back.

nope no firewall thats why im stumped ive got everything setup right i think

ok i tryed to ping the other computer on my network and i get this error "PING: transmit failed error code 65"

nevermind damn zonealarm firewall was installed didnt have it running though oh well lol
