About:Blank in Explorer

Hi can someone tell me why on some web pages, I get this annoying blank page. In the address bar I see About:Blank. I have no clue why this happens, but it happens alot. Any info would be appreciated.

Is your home page blank? usually about blank is the homepage it uses if you want no homepage, and that page is shown for a few seconds if there is a delay in a page loading...so it could be a bad link or such
