Used this many moons ago for a College essay when I couldn't find my damned Office CDs
Great little app, and perfect for creating documents without MS Office.

so, went online. got abiword.
great program for midterms.

Great thing about it, is that it's available for most platforms, I remember using it on BeOS a while back, and because I had used it previously on Windows, it was easier to work with rather than some new BeOS only package.

The time gap between using one then the other is too large for me to be able to compare the two.

open office.
i think the major differnece is the resource management.
abiword does the same job using less memory.

Yeah, I'd assume that would be the case, since O is a full-blown office suite rather than just a word processor.
But yeah, Abiword looks like a nice alternative to MS Word

Has everyone forgotten 602 PC Suite??? Used to be my Favourite and very handy....and this makes my 500th post so I can now kick back and relax
