Yes, your screen is clearly too big.
Ship it back to me and I will see if I can find a 19" around here somewhere.
It might even be one of those new fangled TFT thingers the kids are raving about.

looks okay to me. It's called fixed width design for the lowest common denominator.

I use all my applications full screen on my 24".

If I wanted smaller windows I'd have a smaller screen :D

I have my browser stuck at 1440x900, but even then it still looks bad, variable width for the win.

my screen is at 1680x1050 an I never have mine full screen.

^^ with a screen that big, you shouldn't make the browser full screen
Why not and says who? osnn forum looks wonderful full screen.

Boooooooooooo :lick:

My browser is stuck @ 1920x1200.

Why NOT have it full screen :)

I don't have it full screen to save space .. .

What do you need space for? you only ever have one "active" application. Nothing will prevent you from switching between fullscreen apps.

I resize if I need to copy/paste between apps or turn on my TV for the dual screen effect :D

Space is not something you lack with hi-res screens.

I have dual monitors, so I can have my browser on one screen, and the app I am using on my other. This is especially handy when I am programming and I am looking at the API. Not having to switch applications is absolutely fantastic.

^^ That is the point I was making. With a large monitor like this. There is a lot of space to be able to have things in area's where you can just glance over at them without having to minimize your screen or switch your screen.

I don't do that, I like everything I'm doing to be be full screen. Why skimp when I can make the most of the 25.5" high-definition screen? Your way is just a waste :lick:

^^ Your way is a space waster and is not using the big monitor for what it is meant for :p

big monitors are for seeing things big, not cramming lots of tiny things in to the available space :)

not even slightly tempted to join the dark side of full screen applications on big monitors?

all mine are full screen, shame its on old lcd tv and can only do max 1366x768 - still :)

I tried the full screen, I didn't like it. That and I always take the road not chosen by. I guess you could say that I like being rebel, mwahahaha :)

thats what she said.............

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
