a decent little writeup by Hanners concerning IQ on topof the line cards in Aquamark...

notice the clear and blatant IQ reduction on some driver releases... bear in mind that the 5x.xx drivers have even worse IQ than the 45.xx drivers which are... amazingly... whql'd...

the stability is fine... but... my problem is you have a dx9 product certification setup and m$ needs to verify the work done.. ie fp... (this just pertains to the FX lineup... )

thats just IMO...

if they are going to be doing things like removing light sources and what not to keep the frame rate up that is a big problem, and MS shouldn't of WHQL'd them....
