A good monitor [ ! ]

I'm a bit curious about others opinion about monitors >< Main question is : " Does matters for you ? "
Performance OR Size

Let's discuss a little ...

Flat screen!!!!!!!! 17 or bigger!!!!!!! listen to meeeee!!!!!! lol

a combination of both. i like to have a nice big screen, but he has to give somewhat good performance.

good color
brightness
good viewing angles

and cosmetic stuff like:
side to side rotation
up/down pivot
etc.

1) . Sony
2) . ADi
3) . CTX
4) . HP

CTX are very good for the money.

always performance first.....then size never below 17"lcd or 19"crt
basically they the same screen size

ViewSonic A90f is a great monitor, or the one I have the ViewSonic A90 (f is for a flat crt)

i have the A95f... i can never go back to a conventional curved crt. they looked too warped after using a flat crt.

at the same time, i don't see myself getting a flat panel until they have perfect response time (<5ms, at least), higher resolutions, and come down in price. maybe about 3-4 years.

i wouldn't go lower than 19", myself. but i'd only go 21" if i had room to scoot it back about 6 inches.

i hate sony's. viewsonic is decent. i've heard good things about samsung.

i'm using a kds 17" xtreme flat right now , but hoping to upgrade
to a sony or veiwsonic 19" in the near future. i'd like to have both
performance and size.

Dont let anyone tell you LCD monitors make games look like crap. i love my LCD screen

I'm in 1280x1024 res, 32bit color, 72MHz refresh rate and games look AWESOME along with my 3D card. any higher/lower of a resolution and my Icons are too hard to read or there too large for my desktop (lotsa icons).

I'm on a Pixie 960 19" monitor in 1280 X 1024 at 85htz and it's CLEAN!!! I love my $179.00 9 month old monitor.. it's still rocking!
