9700 Pro DVD Problem

I just installed the 9700 pro and the games are working fine but the dvd player in not working, I just see some scrambling and boom winxp freeze in both home edition and prof editon. Does anybody has any Idea.

I am also attaching the dxdiag file jus incase you need.

what dvd player software and graphics driver versions are you using

I have powerdvd 4, windowdvd player, ati 7.8 and the graphics drivers are latest cat 3.1, I checked everything.

Try disabling the hardware acceleration.

I have the same problem. I disabled Hardware Acceleration to fix it. The problem i have with this is that the 9700 Pro is meant to assist with DVD Playback to reduce the load on the CPU.

Umm... If it produces garbage on screen... wtf???

Sorry guys my mistake, I was playing the ring and and it happed so I posted the forum. But then I put the in the dvd player same thing the disk is f**ked up, another dvd work's fine.
