64bit or 32bit

Vista is and has a lot of features for gamers that XP didn't have. But games need to be developed for the platform.

Yes and drivers need to time to mature thats all and it will be fine thats why my gaming rig is XP for now

Yup, I'm going to format my rig and go back to XP. Vista is nice, but it's not mature enough! :(

Those who say 'stay away from Vista for games' don't want Far Cry, or really any DX10 title.. OMGLOSERS.

oh ..can you name ONE DX10 game right now? One that is released and being sold exclusively DX10? Don't be flaming people for giving sound advice. You wouldn't go out and buy a hydrogen car right now with no way to refill it for the next 5-10 years would ya?

Why bother? I've got pretty much everything I need in XP and I'm used to it. I don't move to a new OS just for the sake of it - it actually needs to match my workflow.

just dual boot

Ultimately, won't they run games the same, with 64 bit being able to run better looking games because of the longer instruction capabilities? Processor power/memory speed is what makes the computer more or less powerful.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
