Hi all,

I am going to be using my AMD64 4400+ X2, 4 gig RAM, 8600GT machine. I would like to know what a suitable 64bit Linux OS (Hopefully KDE3.5, not Gnome) that is running stable out of the box.

I have tried OpenSuse 10.3, 11.0, and Debian4 etch64, nothing really stable and the debian64 doesn't even want to fully install.

Since this is my first use of this 64bit CPU, should I even consider using 64bit desktop?

Thanks,

Heeter

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
