If I was going to use a 400Mhz FSB Celeron, the fastest RAM it would compliment would be 266Mhz ... but since I know you can mix and match RAM speeds (say, PC2700 and PC2100, but the 333 will default to 266) is it possible to use DDR333 memory with a 400Mhz FSB, and it would only be as fast as 266, or could I not do that at all?

[keeping upgradability in mind... wanted to buy faster RAM now because its two bucks more to go with DDR333 than DDR266... not even that much more to go with DDR400 - get faster P4 w/ 800Mhz FSB later(which would fully use the 333 or 400)]

400mhz for intel == 100mhz fsb... so 100mhz memory will be perfect... ie 200mhz ddr...

ergo you can use 133 or 166mhz memory depending on your needs... and upgrading in the future... considering that the prices are quite close to each other...

i'm using ddr 333 but it's underclocked to 266 because of my 400mhz fsb p4 1.6/ do not use 133 sdram with a p4 or newer celeron it makes them run like crap it will always freeze and with the slower ram it slows your pc down noticably.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
