4 new imaging devices appeared in win xp pro

recently in the device manager on my pc running win xp pro 4 new imaging devices have appeared evry time i reboot the pc they pop up asking for driver instalation
i have disabled these devices but windows wont let me uninstall them
as it says windows may need them to boot up the computer
is there any other way to remove these devices or to find out what they are excactly
they only appeared after using nero burning rom to convert an avi file into a video cd
i have uninstalled nero then tried to uninstall the imaging devices but no luck😕

Do the devices give any info at all?
If you have disabled them then XP shouldn't be asking for drivers on each boot.
Have you tried removing the devices in safe mode?
Perhaps you could do a sytem restore to prior to the file conversion.
Alternatively do a repair of XP using the process outlined here http://www.windowsreinstall.com/install/winxp/repairxp/page1.htm
