I have just ordered parts for a new PC I'm building for myself.

The processor is the Intel Core 2 Duo E4300.

Would I be better off running a 32-bit operating system or 64-bit operating system? Vista or XP?

Thanks.

I am running 64bit Vista on my laptop and its stable as a rock, are you going to be gaming on this computer or not?

32-bit then, definitely. There aren't the drivers in 64-bit yet, in fact my video and audio drivers in 32-bit aren't very good yet. Stay with 32-bit for the next 12 months at least.

Again 32 bit is the way to go the 64bit world is just lagging in driver support ... You can get Vista in both versions and install 64bit in about a year or so, I would say for games go with XP .

Another vote for 32bit...unless you have a specific reason to run 64bit go with 32. The driver support is leaps and bounds better.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
