Hi guys,

this is what is said about my friend's Mobo on asus site:

Memory:
3 x 184-pin DIMM Sockets support max. 2GB PC2700/PC2100 (FSB533) or PC2100/PC1600 (FSB400) non-ECC DDR SDRAM memory

If I have three 512 sticks, that adds up to alot less than 2gig. I do not understand what this means...Is there bigger than 512?

Thanks in advance,

Heeter

If not now real soon. Crucial just demo'd a 2 gig stick. Wish mine was that big. Note when using more than 2 sticks you may need to have "Buffered" DIMMs. They of course cost extra...

you can buy 2gb sticks mate.. there stacked 1gb chips. cost a bomb mind you.

Cant see many desktop users having 2 gig of ram for a couple of years.

Not many, but I can see myself having 2GB ;) Within a year or so.

Thanks boys,

I could see it cost "A bomb"LOL, I like that term.!!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
