2000 NTFS vs. XP NTFS

Ive had problems with OSX and Win2000 machines reading my XP formatted NTFS drives when connected on a IDE chain. I know both should be able to see the drive. Is there a difference in XP's NTFS and 2000's? Also are there any good formatting programs out there that will give me multiple format options? Thanx.:happy:

no difference between 2000 and XP NTFS.

Might give Partition Magic 8 a go.

Really? I thought Win2k had NTFS 5.0 and XP NTFS 5.1? Am I wrong?

NTFS is different. Subtly, but as usual, MS makes small changes. Backward compatilblity is always kept, but forward is never garunteed. One question, why are you putting an ntfs drive in an OS-X box?

I think the easiest solution would be a network share or file server.
