I had to reinstall windows xp pro over my current operating xp pro. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and didn't pay enough attention to the setup. Xp installed on my second drive. I now have two xp operating systems. I deleted the second windows directory, but still have the prompt when my system starts. How do I get rid of this prompt?

TIA

Right Click on My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery Settings.

Uncheck "Time to display list of operating systems"

You can also edit the startup file manually to delete the startup entry that you do not want.

Otherwise ........
My Computer /tools /folder options /view/unhide protected operating sys files.
In my computer you will now see Boot.ini file, open and carefully delete duplicate boot line entry.

there is an easier way

start / run / msconfig / boot ini / check all boot paths

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
