I have a Gigabyte Gigabyte 7VRXP. Its a KT333 chipset. I recently tried upgrading my 1800+ processor to a 2400+ and all my networking and sound capabilities stopped working. I rma'd the cpu to newegg, got another one today and the same problem! :(

Any clue as to why this might happen?? When I replaced with my 1800 everything went back to normal.

That is really weird.... I'd try resetting the BIOS... look for BIOS updates... double check all the BIOS settings

Update the BIOS to the latest version... and load the fail-safe settings.

wierd. make sure the fsb is right (133/266). since the network and sound both run off the pci bus, maybe the fsb is off and throwing the pci bus off and affecting those devices.

that's all i can think of. do do a bios update, though.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
