128mb Gfx ???

Hi,

Can you tell me which is the best graphics card out of these???

- 128Mb ATI Radeon 9000 PRO AGP8X V/Card TV/Out + DVI, 3.3ns DDR Memory

- 128Mb S-Media Geforce 4 TI4200 AGP4X V/Card TV/Out/IN Capture + DVI

- 128Mb Triplex Geforce 4 TI4200 V/Card AGP4X TV/Out + DVI (Silver PCB)

Go for one of the bottom two. AGP 8X doesnt make much difference, especially with 128mb memory. The ti4200 is definitely a better card. Not sure which of the two, but the triplex silver PCB looks pretty cool .

actually steve if you can find a ti4200 with agp8x suppport go for that... far as I know there is no radeon 9000/9000pro with agp 8x support... there is one that is due early next year per the grapevine but is not out yet...

reason I say get a ti4200 with agp8x is because nvidia ramped up the core/memory clocks to be close to the 64mb version of the card... and it is higher than the stock agp4x nvidia ti4200 card...

I would definitely recommend a ti4200 over the radeon 9000 if that is what you are looking @..

thanks for that fellas, I think I will be goin for the 4200ti,
but the place that I am getting it from there is an $80 difference between the s-media and the triplex, why is this ?

might depend on the company or the package they bundle with teh card...

see if you can post links to the products so we can also take a look..

He he, on the s-media one they've got a picture of a mx420

You say there is an $80 difference between the two, which is the more expensive? I've heard of the triplex name and the pcb looks cool if you've got a case window or something. Still not sure about the s-media one as I don't know what memory chips it has (the triplex has 3.3ns).
