Anyone have any opinions on the difference between a card with 128bit to a card with 256bit, is there any speed increase at all?

yes. cards with 256bit bus can address and push twice as much data per cycle than a 128bit card.

You wouldn play games these days with a 128bit card.

like another post was just saying, alot of 128 cards beat out the 256 cards everytime. 256 is more visually intensive, like video editing, animation or rendering (lightwave, bryce)

basically what lord said...

twice the bandwidth == more data being pushed through == better performance for otherwise same specs....

when given a choice... always lean towards a card with better memory bandwidth for otherwise similar specs...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
