    Strange sound problem

This is a sound file of burned out speakers? Since you've done everything else, you could try to delete and re-install your sound card driver. Is it possible that your sound card is fried? Hard to tell from here without hearing the sounds, obviously. kip

    Publisher to .pdf

I have Pub 2003 and Acrobat Pro 6 and the short answer is that it doesn't allow for direct .pdf saves from within Publisher, like it does in Word, etc. So you will have to export the file to some other format. I would suggest to find yourself a pdf file converter; there are free ones around...

    Outlook 2003 Problem/Issue

Been there, too. Here's what I do: Note: The default Outlook.pst file lives at %systemroot%\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. You can either rename the .pst file there and copy your existing .pst file, or (I think better), place your existing .pst file...

    VB question

Happy to help, but I'm not quite sure I understand how you are going about setting up your database. How familiar are you with Access? You should be setting up a table with the first column as the field name, and then the second column as records 1-300, right? PS I'm not much of a database...

    VB question

Excel can import comma separated values files. Save or copy the text file as FILENAME.csv and then open it in excel as a text file. It should open with a column for each comma. Shouldn't need any coding unless I'm misunderstanding your question. Is this what you needed to do? kip

Outlook 2000 Up Personal Folders Backup

Yup I'm using this with OL 2003, works good no problems. One request though - in the future could you post a link and not an attachment? Not that I don't trust you (ummm I don't), but it's a heck of a lot easier for crxp to get included in a zip than in a link to the site. No offense. kip

    Mediaplayer always on top?

Have you tried the "mini-player"? You need to set WMP as a taskbar toolbar (rt click on the taskbar, select toolbars, and check WMP). Then, open WMP and minimize to the taskbar, and then click the ^ on the far right side of the controls to open a little window with your video playing in it...

    Windows Management Instrument

A couple of thoughts; you could try to stop WMI and then restart it (Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services - scroll down to WMI and stop the service, (probably reboot) and then restart. You could also run SFC /scannow from Start>Run. You will need your XP CD for this, but it will reset...
