actualy it can but 2000 was never designed for it,i had 2000 running with multimedia and it worked good but xp is better at everything.

i would use xp+sp2,use professional,not home edition.2000 is old,you can tune xp to use less resources.

for a video card stay away from ati and go for nvidia the mx440's will do or the fx 5200's

do a xp repair then remove all traces of the nvidia drivers(try uninstalling them),use a reg cleaner to clean the reg keys in (use crap cleaner)and put a newer driver version i'm usin 61.21 n no problems

having something not firmly in place can cause something not to work it's obviously the video card since thats what you played around with or maybe one of the cables

the new version 1.14 is very good this app could be a replacement for advanced uninstaller or maybe a few norton utility apps
