DVD is the only format that judders?
VLC does not use the directshow DVD decoders so it wouldent be affected by a directshow codec problem problem. And if this is a codec problem you almost NEVER need to format to fix it.

it should be possable to make XP stay in black and white mode even using the defult skins. There is an option that makes XP fade out all the colors and then come back in full color when you make an apperance change. it should be nothing more then a regestry setting to force it to stay in this...
The reselutions I prefer to use include:
640x480 (NTSC 4:3, HDTV 4:3)
576x768 (PAL 4:3)
800x600 (Res I drop to when watching movies that are larger then PAL or NTSC but smaller then my primary reselution 4:3)

the AIM ICQ intercompatability only works on the most recent pro build and the last handfull of lite builds of ICQ and also reuires one of the more recent builds of AIM to work as well. Meaning you cant use the older less bloted 4.x builds of AIM.

A little know program called Odigo was good back in the day but I havent herd much from it in a couple years. I still have it and use it from time to time but I got sick and tired of dealing with multi IM incompatability that I just use all the cliants now.
ya know this DVD could also not be encrypted and region protected at all. The problem could also be that your nabors player can not accept a PAL signal and convert it to NTSC. In this case he either needs a new player that can accept PAL format media or you will need to rip it and re encode it...
Some place the duel view option is proly turned on or is geting enabled randomly by something. Some place in the windows controll panel and the nvidia controll panel stuff there is options for this stuff.

This is all the hard way. 9 times out of 10 there will be a hidden menu in your DVD player to change it's region and another 9 times out of 10 for that 1 time theres not a secret menu there is a firmware hack to do it.
Get yer players model number and search for region hacks on sites like...
k but when I say limited sources I mwan 1 source :). One is ~550 queues and the other is over 900 queues so dont hold your breath. it could be as much as a day to a week or never before they acctualy begin to download.
WMP requires 3rd party MPEG-2 decoders (WinDVD, PowerDVD, or nvDVD are all good choices but not free) but I am not sure about VLC.
Anyway "Good DVD" and "Free" should never really be used in the same sentence as MPEG-2 (what DVD uses) is a patented technology and there is heavy royalties...
Checked it out and it is a great free program but it is anything but a simple to use MS Paint like application. I'm going to keep it around tohugh as it is proly going to come in handy one day i'm sure :)
I am looking for a good pain program to replace MS Paint that is as small and as simple to use as MS Paint but with some more advanced features not fond in Paint. Mostly creating transparent GIF and PNG files and some beter image resize options.
I dont do any complicated or advanced image...
