    Suggest an alternative!!!

Of course you can, and it's easy (in fact, the legal torrents tend to have far more seeds/peers than any illegal torrent). That doesn't say that TPB isn't most popular/known for its illegal content...

    Getting a Wii!

I don't know... the only reason I would ever want to have a modchip is already defeated by software hacks: running homebrew software (emulators, standalone games (Tetris!), etc). All possible with a Zelda TP exploit :)

    Getting a Wii!

It's been fairly unclear weather it's intentional or not, but modded Wiis tend to get bricked on firmware updates, even updates from your own region.

    Transparent PNG backgrounds in IE6

You might also want to look at IE7/8.js for working around a lot of the design flaws in Internet Explorer. I've put it on a few websites before, and it usually does the job fairly well for those poor IE users left in the world. I like to write pages as the markup is intended to be used, but IE...

    Which shell under FreeBSD

    I love OpenBSD's ksh, but I don't know how FreeBSD's fares.

    Windows Vista x64

All the 3rd party defraggers use exactly the same API as the normal Windows defragger. Essentially you're paying money just for a different interface.

18 Features Windows Should Have (but Doesn't)

A proper package manager (and possibility software repository) has always been #1 on my list of most-desperately-needed feature in Windows. I hate DLL Hell.

Triple boot - Safely removing one of them

Looks like you installed Windows 98 first after all. Both Windows XP and Vista are storing system boot files on it, and I wouldn't personally know how to change that. Might as well not bother, it's only 8GB.

    Partition Program

I still prefer almost everything on the commandline :) I've been called old school, geeky, insane, some other things.... but when I can get tasks quicker than other people can in a GUI, they tend to shut up.

HP AIO printer and Vista 64

Are you plugging the printer into a router or your computer directly? If the later, you should probably try using USB instead..

    Firefox freezing up

Try seeing if it happens in Firefox's Safe Mode. If it doesn't, then it's one of your extensions. After that, it's a matter of finding out what exactly is causing it.

    What's your uptime?

$ uptime 18:33:29 up 2:00, 2 users, load average: 0.13, 0.07, 0.15 Booted 2 hours ago, heh. I usually don't leave my computer on at night anyway.

    Partition Program

You could also use FAT32Format to do it: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm Microsoft basically restricted FAT32 creation to up to 32GB in order to make NTFS more popular. Though the original topic has probably been solved already, this will probably be useful to know...

Triple boot - Safely removing one of them

You might want to take a screenshot of Disk Management just to make things a little bit easier to understand how your setup is... The way it sounds, if Windows 98 is isolated on its own partition, then removing it is trivial. You remove the boot entry, and do something with its partition; you...

    64bit or 32bit?

I'm not EP, but I'll just vouch in to tell you that XP64 is simply terrible in terms of support. If you're lucky enough to find drivers for all your hardware, you might have a chance, otherwise you're best off using XP32.

My laptop (currently connected to a nice external monitor): the movie date was moved up to May 8, 2009 though, but ah well, it's a nice wallpaper.

[Finished] OSNN & HP Pavillion HDX Dragon Giveaway

Re: OSNN HP Pavillion HDX Dragon Giveaway Arstech has already started their competition: http://arstechnica.com/journals/hardware.ars/2008/05/03/enter-ars-mod-contest-win-the-mother-of-all-laptops I'm almost counting myself a lost cause in their contest though. I might try to come up with...

    Most expensive gaming console ever?

Yeah, it was the Laserdisc. It was mainly used for movies, but gradually faded into obscurity around the early 2000s. Laserdiscs, iirc, were made in the 1970s as a sort of experiment in video and audio storage... latter on, the Compact Disc would borrow the strengths of the format, and...

when should you use 64 bit....?

"32-bit vs 64-bit" has far more to it than simple RAM capacity. Really, these days the question is probably rather "Why shouldn't I use a 64-bit operating system?" instead of the other way around. The way I see it, if the majority of your applications do not have 64-bit versions available...
