    Need help plz...

Your computer was probably infected by the sounds of it. Can you get those two programs i mentioned in my previous post? Also, has your CD Drive stopped working since this happened, or before? You need to get rid of whatever has infected your PC. Once that is done, you can try restoring it...

    Need help plz...

Hi dbz_sid, First things first, did you have any antivirus software on it to begin with? If not, then i'm going to guess that after the new antivirus software was installed, or during setup, it has performed a quick scan and found that your PC is already infected. Maybe the default action...

    reseting laptop bios

Hey, Did you try googling the error code given in the BSOD? Or try a repair install? I know a format is nice every once in a while, but i'm assuming there was no data on the drive that needed backing up?

    Service.exe infection

Hey peeps, Just been reading this thread and this is what i have experienced in the past; Putting a password on an XP installation only stops people from logging on to the machine on that computer. Adding a password and choosing to make your files 'private' (My Documents) encrypts the files...

    Power Usage: What'cha Usin'?

As regards why do manufacturers put in a 300W PSU if it is only pulling 80W, it comes down to effiency of that part. OEM systems have (in general) cheap PSU's, efficiency isn't a selling point on the PSU - it could probably only push out 200W maybe a tad more but they still have to have...

Bios update is too large for floppy disk

They have to cover themselves though, flashing the bios isn't 100% safe in any respect. It's becoming more common place, although power users feel at home with it i suspect flashing in Windows is marginally less safe than via Floppy as there are more variables. However, if you keep your...
