I check the latest post on the main page almost everyday. If I knew of an answer to possibly be of help I would reply. I am not really an expert on any one thing, but I think I have gained a bit of knowledge in alot of areas over the years. As far as my Win7 experience so far I have yet to have...
I was trying to keep him under $100 and suggesting to look in newegg. However I would agree also to hold out for a bit more funds to do a better upgrade aswell.
I just bought an AthlonII-240/2.8ghz from newwegg for $53. It's an OEM as I have HSF left over from a previous retail CPU. Anywho Have looked in newegg?
I got my first PC in 2000. Believe me when I say I didn't know how to turn the thing on. My son then 21 showed me. About a year later I discovered the right click and what it would reveal. Then in 2002 I built my first PC.
It's easier to use driverpacks to intergrate mass storage drivers. I create an empty folder (rename it if you want). Download driverpacks base and the mass storage driver. Run the base install directing it to extract to the new folder. Copy the storage drive you downloaded to the driver packs...

My bad. I posted wrong about installing to a new drive. As it turned out that drive had XP previously installed to it. I get so confused here as I currently have WIN7 setup on four comps. When I run setup I leave the key part blank, just click next. After I evaluate them all for a few weeks I'll...
Just to be clear; the link showed 64bit also. The keys should work. Y'ld have to try to see. During install when you enter the key it'll say not valid if it doesn't like your key. Good luck!
