    where to find garibaldi motherboard?

Not sure if this will really help you but I remember glancing at Overstock.com and seeing that they had 850 chipset boards for $45 after shipping. It sticks out in my mind because I have a P4 and a half gig of Rambus laying around that I'd really like to put back into use. I'm pretty sure that...

    question about video cards

For $20 more you could get the 6800GS. I have the PCIx version and it rocks. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150127

    Motherboard Compatibility

I've heard it is best to have a 500W PSU with the 6800GT. I've got a 6600GT with a 450W PSU and it works fine but doesn't have the molex power connector. If you install a 500W PSU, you should be good for a few years. Just look for a quiet one, it'll be more expensive but well worth it.

Can Browse the Site but Can't Ping....

Lots of websites will deny ping requests. It's a way of avoiding some forms of DoS attacks. Try pinging www.okstate.edu. I used to work for their IT and they would always allow pings on that address for various reasons. If you get a reply from there, you should be okay.

    Wireless Home Network not functioning....

I have a Microsoft Wireless B router and it does discard any pings that come its way. If you log into the router's settings page, go to Security -> Firewall Settings. If "Block Ping Commands" is checked that is why your router is ignoring ping requests.

    I'm on x64!

I just got mine set up a few days ago also. Noticed a definite speed increase although I also upgraded from an IDE hard drive to SATA:). Only gripe I have is that I'm not happy with the current selection of virtual drive software. Daemon Tools should be out any day though.

Installing WinXP on a SATA HDD

You will only need a floppy drive if you intend to install a multidisk RAID array. Otherwise, you should just be able to boot from the CD. As long as your mobo detects the hard drive you should be okay. If it doesn't detect it, you may simply need to enable the SATA controller in the BIOS...
