I am having a similar problem, but not as frequently. The taskbar shifts left over the start button and the quicklaunch bar disappears. Moving the mouse in the area, causes the taskbar to disappear and the quicklaunch bar to reappear. Using the task manager to close and reopen explorer corrects...
