I just started folding today on my work computer. My motorcycle gloves were cold and wet today; and folding is the best use of my laptop CPU to warm them up.

If your SSD has a sandforce controller it handles the defragmentation ad trim automatically and then it should be disabled in windows to prevent performance problems.
