I am using NT backup of the windows 2000 advanced server. I don't see any error in the Event Viewer relating to the backup. I also don't see any error from tape drive in the Computer Management. I can manually prepare the tape. I am using the Fuji DLTtape.

I just realize that this problem is due to the user does not log off the terminal the day before. If they do log off the day before, they don't enounter this problem when they first log in the next day. So do you have any comment about this?

I looked in the event viewer. I saw some warning: Source: MRXsmb EventID: 3019 These warning is not very close to the time of login. If you suspect my script, which line I should modify.
