did you physically create a share on each, Xp wont let you in til one is created which sets the settings to allow others to come in from a network. Xp by default locks others from coming in for security reasons until you explicitly give that right.

i use 80 wire cables for everything the design is to cut down noise and crosstalk. everything will benefit from this, also you can put all drives on cable select and depending on which connector is on drive (black or grey) the motherboard will sort out the master slave for you.

yea using any 9x based OS it must be loaded first then the NT based stuff, it will load what it needs and setup the dual boot for it and 9x systems

there is a choice on loadup about picking a folder to load windows into if it detects a version already there..... asked you if you like to can load over top of old or create new...... someone or it chose new.........

they will play fine together, they are both NT based..... doesnt matter which is loaded first although i always like loading oldest to newest with anything, never had any conflicts that way:p

cd creator can do it no effort....... put in cd it can find all song names over web from cddb.. then select all songs - it will rip all tracks on cd one after another and auto generate the 'name of song.format' name right click, 'convert to audio file' choose type (mp3, wav, wma) and format...

dont see why it cant be done.......... if you create connection between with their own subnet and the added each to each others route list then talking directly to each other they would take the route they found first (one in route list) before they would brodcast for the another route over...

i have all my music on on emachine and play them over network drive share to all others with winamp....... the bandwidth used is very low would think it would work well over wireless also personally not impressed with media player overall for mp3... very heavy, and over network would think...
