Problem solved. Turns out the driver on one of my adapters got corrupted somehow. It showed that it was okay when I pulled it up, but it wasn't detecting the network. I ended up updating both drivers and magically both PCs reappeared on my network.
It's Avira AntiVir. I was bitching to a friend about paying for updates to my McAfee and he recommended it - I checked it out and it seemed okay - until it took my network down.
