the "account type" is POP3.. is that the same thing?

well i am pretty dumb.. at least with computing.. novice remember.. but i dont think this is the case cos i have 3 accounts and the settings are all the same.. do if i had done that i would be getting 3 of everything, no?

well it only happens when i do a send/receive.. so it is set to only receive when i press send/receive...

Why do i get two messages of everything in my inbox when i do a send and receive? i use firefox and have two user profiles on the machine, and 3 email accounts. for each account there are always two of every message...

so.. should i worry that i deleted and have not reinstalled MS WINMM Audio Compatability Driver? all seems to be working ok...

well kcnychief.. i would forgive you almost anything!! there is a volume control on the front and it is now working.. i feel such a dork.. thanks so much.. by the way, i used troubleshooter which told me to reinstall the MS WINMM Audio Compatability Driver. so i deleted it and could not find it...

yes the speakers are integral to the laptop...

for some reason my sound is noy working. have turned up all volume controls on control panel and everywhere else but i still cant hear a thing! is there a solution to this?
