1 more thing.... when i search, just say, newegg.com - theres like 500 BRANDS of that card - chipset is all nvidia, i get that.... but should i be cautious of the TYPES? like... XFX Leadtek EVGA Biostar etc

thanks Ray - ill check it out ive always used nvidia - KINDA want to change to ATI is there an equivelant card - same in pricing or does it come down to just preference between nv and ati?

Work just ordered me a new Dell - its got everything - but i opted to have no vid card shipped (for obvious reasons :) ) pci-express want to stay cheap - but get the best performance basically - i play WoW - thats about it right now Specs - 1.86ghz dual core duo / 1gb ddr2 / 160gb sata etc...

im just calling it a bad mobo and/or processor thanks for the advice everyone - you'v been more than helpful

monitor is surely good - its on a kvm which im on another computer hooked up to it as im typing now.... hard drive does spin - keyboard lights up/flashes - ill try takin the ram out and see what i get

working on a gateway desktop it SOUNDS like it boots up - no beeps etc, but no video has onboard video, so tried a PCI generic card - still no video power supply tested good - tried in another machine..... hard drive tested good - powered up in another machine memory seems ok (would give beeps...

ati radeon 7000 pci

whenever i reboot, i get no video again bios is reset to defaults.... intel card is disabled (although, this is the only way i can make changes, by plugging into the onboard adapter) ati is set to default, but only picks it up AFTER i log into windows and switch it physically from the onboard...
