1) what is using up all your CPU?
2) how much free disk space do you have?
3) What is your current max registry size and current registry size?
4) how much RAM is in the server?

first, as fitz says, you have to find out what's using all that cpu, then give american zombie's post a look see

The following tuning recommendation has been helpful in alleviating the problem:
Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value:
Value name: PoolUsageMaximum
Data type: REG_DWORD
Radix: Decimal
Value data: 60
Setting the value at 60 informs the Memory Manager to start the trimming process at 60 percent of PagedPoolMax rather than the default setting of 80 percent. If a threshold of 60 percent is not enough to handle spikes in activity, reduce this setting to 50 percent or 40 percent.

while ckua daisy should try setting that to 60 as the article suggests, (after addressing the cpu useage and if addressing the issue doesn't give relief), I am wondering something for others

for those who do not get memory pressure I am wondering if setting that number to 90 or so might make the system a little more snappy

probably not, if the system isn't under pressure then anything trimmed is going to go to the standby list and still be in memory but it is a thought

I just added the dword and my new value, I doubt I'll notice anything but worth an experiment
