Was wondering what you guys use to uninstall apps on workstations from the server, instead of going RDP. Thanks, Heeter |

For the most part I do RDP, but some applications have command line support and some even support doing this remotely (i.e. from the command prompt on the server and using the host for a target). But, honestly, application un-installs are probably best done from the individual workstation.
In areas where I have to do a lot, what I will do is write a custom executable that the users can run which will silently un-install, and also clean up registry entries, program groups and folders/files, etc. Last 6-8 months have become very good with a tool case WISE - amazing stuff but rediculously priced for you I would assume (my job bought it). http://www.wisesolutions.com/Wise/Pr.../WhatsNew.aspx |
