I would like to know what exceptions/ports do I need for the firewall so that my email server can recieve emails from MX server and that my thunderbird client can retrieve from this server to the workstation. I am using default ports for now. It is Win2003ServerSP1. Thanks in advance, Heeter |

I do know that I need 25,110,143. But would I need TCP or UDP or Both for each?
Thanks again, Heeter |

You only need 143 if you are using IMAP accounts, and you do not need 25 open for incoming unless you are running an SMTP server. TCP is all you need.
