Unhappy windows media player

is it possible to use media player in xp to convert wavs to wma or mp3 ?? do i need a plug in ?? any help greatly appreciated.

No , it's impossible with media player 8.0 to convert wavs to mp3 . You can do this with another soft just like AudioGrabbler if i'm not wrong , i hope .

As far as I know, you can "buy" a package for Media Player 8 from Microsoft that has a few add-ons for MP8. One of the extra features is MP3 encoding... definately findable on www.windows.com
