Default how to stop MSN explorer to be the default internet explorer..?

I want to use MSN explorer to check my email - but nothing else!!

I don't want it to be my internet browser! i've tried to change the HTM and HTML file type properties, but MSN explorer still very often pop up when i click links or use the hoteys on my keyboard etc.

Is it possible to totally disable the internet browser part of MSN Explorer??? i don't want to see any page load in MSN explorer again!!

If memory serves me correctly, way back when MSN Explorer first came out and I checked into it - I asked MSN Support point blank if I could download MSN Explorer and NOT use it as my default browser and I was told NO!

So I am still fat, dumb, and happy with IE (now 6.0) and Outlook Express and without MSN Explorer.

How about an uninstall of MSN Explorer! I do not have it and still use hotmail and messenger!

I have no problem running both. In fact, if Favorites behaved in the same mannor as IE 6, I would run MSN Explorer instead if IE 6 which is my default.

The problem here is to use non-Microsoft software.

I want to use the web browser called Opera, because it is 2x better than any ms browser.
