Default XP and Cable modem
I have three comps. hooked up to my cable modem (i am usinga router Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Router 4 ports). Periodically one computer will lose the internet for a day or so but all the other computers are running fine. I keeps giving me the DNS error. But all the otehr 2 comps are fine. So i check the network connections and they are identical (static). Has anybody got this problem before? plz reply.

when the comp loses the connection have you tried an ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew?

Try update to the latest firmware ? I think it might help. I didn't read what the fix is but it work great for me after I update.
