Default Office and Mapped Network Drives

Office and Mapped Network Drives

I have some users that VPN once in a while and have around 5 mapped drives. When they are using office and do a Save-As it takes a while for it to come up. (not VPN in of course) If they disconnect their mapped drives it comes up rather quickly. Is there some kind of setting I can configure when they do a save as. Mainly for outlook.

Thanks!

Are these remote users using Terminal Server/Services to logon to the network or RDP?

Regardless, are you using a logon script so the drives are remapped each time they connect?

When they do connect in they use MS VPN, each time they connect it does not remap the drives.

Try a logon script and have it remap the drives.

I could give that a try. There are like 150 similar users out there and he is the only one have this issue?

It could be speed related. It is hesitating to open up the dialog box because it is looking for something; when it becomes available then it opens up.
