Default external drive wont share
ok i just set up a basic file server with XP pro on it. and i have 3 external USB hard drives on it. and i have set them to share the data and all but i cant access them from any computer in the network. yet they are shared the same way as the internal ones and i can access thoes.

anyone got any ideas?

Have you tried making up a shortcut from your PC and linking it directly to the "G drive". Or is it you can see them but not access them?

canadian, you have shared them on the respective computers that they are connected to, correct?
