WinZip 11 Beta Now Includes Limited RAR Support

New in WinZip 11.0 Beta

Allow WinZip to Select "Best Compression" Automatically
Make the most of the improved compression methods by letting WinZip decide for you which method to use.
Zip .wav Music Files
A special algorithm will compress .wav files smaller than ever.
.BZ2 and .RAR File Support (Extract Only)
Open .BZ2 and .RAR files.
Configure the Job Wizard to Email Reports and Zip Files Automatically (Pro only)
Now the Job Wizard can send you an email to confirm whether a scheduled job completed successfully or alert you of problems. You can also configure the Job Wizard to email the resulting Zip file and/or the Job's log file.
View Thumbnails within WinZip
If you have any images in a Zip file you can now browse through them viewing the thumbnails without first extracting the images from the Zip file. This makes it a lot easier and quicker to work with images in Zip files.
View Full-size Images with WinZip's New Image Viewer (Pro Only)
If you need a closer look, sometimes a thumbnail just won't do. Now you can view images without manually extracting the image from the Zip file.

Think maybe your title should say includes limited RAR support?

Reason: Winzip will only be able to open and extract RAR files not create them.

I like the new winzip site also. I use both winzip and winrar. I guess I could just use winrar, but, I like to take up space. Plus, I just love the winzip icon

WinZip 11.0 is now available. Oddly enough it doesn't say if it will work under Vista.

7zip

Supported formats:

* Packing / unpacking: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR
* Unpacking only: RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZH, CHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS

Winzip and WinRar work also but aren't always free..

As for Vista and WinZip: ~~Corel~~ WinZip will be releasing an updated version 11 in the coming month that includes support for Vista and new features to spice things up.

winzip is old hat; you can get utils like 7zip that extracts .zip files and much more.
