i'm not sure if it was the codec pack i installed, even though i have uninstall & reinstalled it i cant watch video on websites. all i can do it click the links to download to my PC then i can open the file and watch it.

for example i cant see video on the link below

all i get is the red x in the corner

(unsure of video contect as i cant see it so sorry if its a lil strange )

anyway, i restored the default file type association and still nada.

Site is blocked from work, can't be much help unfortunately.

What type of player does it need to play? Flash? Quicktime?

the codec is working otherwise you wouldn't be able to watch it outside of internet explorer.

In IE go to tools and then advanced and click on restore advanced options or restore defaults.

Then try and play the movie, also you may get the yellow bar at the top of the browser, you may has to allow the activex to run.

It needs windows player slim to run in IE. so he needs to click on allow/install activex to run, this will allow the movie to run within the window.

restored defaults like u said, its sill not working, and no pop up for activex


the toolbar modes not working either, i think i may have a screwed up wmp10 ?

shall try reinstalling it later

reinstall fixed it

i think the guy in the vid was nervous about being on telly...

ie & FF, same issue with both it turned out.
