Question Virtual Machine

By default, when you install WindowsXP and use the Internet Explorer 6 you might come across some sites that will need the Java Virtual Machine. Microsoft has its own virtual machine called Microsoft Virtual Machine. Which one is better to use, does it really matter? I know recently that the Microsoft VM had a vulnerablility in it. http://microsoft.com/technet/securit...n/MS02-013.asp
