If you dont know what i mean, im talking about the window that pops up when you open notepad (or anything really) and go to file> open. Thanks in advance. |

You could make a shortcut in My Documents and when saving double click that to goto where you want to.
Also, I know in Visual Basic 6 the way to change the save path was to edit the shortcut and change the "Start in:" path. |

You can change the "Places Bar" in the open/save dialog box using the TweakUI PowerToy from Microsoft.
When you run TweakUI, expand the "Common Dialogs" list and you can add custom locations to the "places Bar" |

Keep in mind that changing your place bar has no affect on Office.

For Office: You cannot remove the default places. You can only add places.
