Default Laptop power tweaking program?

Is there any program that can be a battery monitor as well as add battery and power use tweaking to a laptop?

So I could clock down my processor to save on battery life.
That's basically it. I can adjust the screens brightness, but that doesn't make any significant changes to battery life. I know I could disable wireless and that might help some. But aside from that, the processor is the 2nd largest power consuming piece for a laptop.

My laptop is a Compaq Presario 2100 with an AMD Athlon XP 2400 Mobile processor.

There's no place like 127.0.0.1

in the power options, power scheme
there should be "max battery life"

I've used it on my laptop before. Nice free app with lots of monitoring and tweaking functionality.

Thanks NetRyder. I knew there had to be something out there. I hate the Windows Power Schemes. They really don't seem to cut it.
