Default Access another laptop on me wireless network?

I bought myself a new laptop a few months ago with a belkin wireless router. Today I bought my wife a new laptop too (so I could get my one back when I'm home from offshore). Now i'm totally new to networking. Does anyone know of any networking guides? What I'm really looking for is accessing her laptop from my one or vice versa so I can transfer files and spy on what my daughter is doing from time to time. Can anyone help? I have no idea how to do this.

Cheers

what exacly do you mean by "accessing"?? As far as spying, well thats gonna take alot of reading, you are better off logging on the computer and checking history.

If you just want to share files between the computers then that's not too difficult. Under My Network Places there is a wizard for setting up a wireless network at home (assuming you have XP). Run that wizard on both machines. You can share folders by viewing the folder Properties and the Sharing tab. Once both computers are in the same workgroup with shared folders, you can access them through My Network Places.
