hmm belive it or not i havent done that. Where would i put the shortcut. As no add entry to the msconfig startup pane.

Depending on your needs, AM's suggestin may be closest to what you want. If you only need it to startup for one user, use the path mentioned above as it is user specific. Alternatively, you could put that in the All Users Folder, which would put the shortcut into all profiles on the PC.
AM's registry key would do the same, with the alternative for one user pointing to the HKCU
