Default Smart Media Card Reader Not Working
Hi. I have a smart media card reader "Sanisk ImageMate". When i first connected it to my pc the install wizard was able to detect it so it installed the driver from the disk. when i inserted the smartmedia card, nothing happened. the only visible light is on the left side of the card reader which i believe is for "power" and the other led on the right side is not lit, which i believe should blink as if it's reading the card but it does not light. and when i open my explorer the "extra" drive for this device is not shown. is there a problem with the card reader?
please help, i appreciate it.

Hmm try uninstalling it and (assuming it is) try using a different USB port?

i did try it. actually i tried to install it in my friend's house and i thought possibly his pc has a problem so i brought it home and did the installation. did try to use different usb ports but the same problem exists. i guess the reader has a problem reading the card that's why it doesn't show in my explorer (is it?)...
