Default MMX technology workaround??

I found an old game and was trying it out but I came across the problem that it gives:
This game requires MMX Technology Pentium in order to run, blah blah blah.

Anyway, so is there a work around to it?
I'm using an AMD Athlon XP

The Athlon XP supports MMX. Should run fine. If it's not there is something else wrong. What is the game?

Thought for the new millenium:

In a world without walls and fences, who needs Windows and Gates?

- Open Office - Firefox - Thunderbird - Gimp -Ubuntu - Red Hat -

Virtual On.
It is an old game in 1997. I've heard somewhere before but couldn't find it that you need a patch or something to run old games with MMX requirements not detecting the MMX ability.

Ok, nevermind, after digging around, I found a patch that disables the exact MMX requirement and works with AMD.
